We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for the PM Shift. The Maintenance Technician ensures all equipment is running smoothly through quick in-depth troubleshooting and repair of all types of manufacturing equipment. You will provide proactive preventative maintenance and be called upon to provide reactive maintenance to recover from component failures, troubleshooting and repairing. Provide training to Line Mechanics and Machine Operators to minimize production errors and improve overall skillset. Maintenance Techs are responsible for maintaining all plant equipment operations through PMs and rebuilds. Through preventative and predictive maintenance processes, the Maintenance Technician will develop and implement standard methodologies and champion continuous improvement efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment breakdowns involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
Tear down equipment, rebuild and replace defective parts and component units such as: motors, gear boxes, clutches, bearings, and electrical units as needed, reassemble and make final equipment adjustments.
Perform regular checks on all building equipment such as pumps, boilers, compressors, water Towers and power system as required.
Complete simple fabrication of machine parts as required and requisition repair parts as needed.
Trouble shoot electrical wiring systems, run lines, make connections, install proper safety devices and provide for necessary outlets and switches.
Work with management to develop and execute projects involving continuous improvement, upgrades, and the resolution of reoccurring problems
Assist outside contractors on on-site projects.
Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Install and hook-up production equipment, exercising care as to size of motors, voltage requirements, and balance circuits for proper power distribution.
Perform required maintenance on assigned work orders
Ensure proper tools are used when working with production equipment versus non production equipment
Completes necessary maintenance records as required
Accounts for all tools and parts used and/or removed
Responsible for food product quality and safety. Notifies supervisor of any problems or potential product risks
Before leaving any work area, ensures it is clean and free of garbage, tools, and or parts
Properly sanitizes or ensures that proper sanitation has taken place before unlocking or returning any piece of equipment to production.
