Maintenance Mechanic II

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair problems with machines and automated systems using functional descriptions, electrical & mechanical diagrams, and system programs
  • Seek feedback from productions and QA. Make adjustments to machines within acceptable parameters to maintain quality of produced parts.
  • Monitor the performance of the machines and automated systems. Identify areas where improvement is warranted and possible. Initiate and implement the mechanical, electrical and program improvements in coordination with Engineering and the machines' manufacturer.
  • Lubricate and clean parts.
  • Set up and operate drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Maintain inventory of machine spare parts. Identify parts from diagrams and bills of materials. Locate and determine sources.
  • The Mechanic II shall be responsible for the production rate and quality as related to assembly machines and all related equipment.
  • The Mechanic II shall be responsible for the correction and completeness of all maintenance records related to machines and all related equipment.
  • The Mechanic II shall also perform all facility related, production related, janitorial duties as assigned by the Manager of Operations.
  • The Mechanic II shall perform all assigned Preventative Maintenance checks and shall complete all associated checklists, schedules, and records.
