POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance, operation, safety, and general condition of our building(s). This includes, but is not limited to, painting, plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). In this role, the individual must also pay close attention to the overall interior and exterior appearance of the building and common areas. In this position you will interact with residents daily and respond timely to their maintenance requests providing exceptional customer service. In addition, the Lead Maintenance Technician would possibly oversee the housekeeping department's day-to-day activities (pending location).
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to accurately schedule times and location of the company vehicle to ensure its availability to make both scheduled and unscheduled trips
Service company vehicles, such as gas fill up, oil changes, washing, and routine maintenance
Make minor repairs or adjustments such as fixing punctures, cleaning spark plugs, or adjusting carburetor
Ability to write simple correspondences and communicate openly, honestly, and responsibly with others
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to residents, clients, and employees
Perform miscellaneous errands as needed
Delegate responsibility for the completion of assigned duties in accordance with existing federal, state, and OSHA regulations and established company policies and procedures
Interact with residents, families, staff, and other visitors to the community in a pleasant, respectful, and courteous manner
Honor residents' personal and property rights and maintains the confidentiality of all resident care information
Clean and sanitize residents' rooms and other areas of the community
Maintain cleanliness of laundry area in accordance with established Balfour policies and procedures
Shift: Days, Tuesday - Saturday 7:30 - 5:00pm
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS:
Must possess a general knowledge and experience of preventative maintenance, general repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting in a professional setting
Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English concerning the mixtures of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instruction, etc.
Knowledge and ability to use household and industrial washers and dryers; knowledge of commercial laundry processes, equipment, and procedures for both washing and drying materials
Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
