NOW HIRING Maintenance Tech 2nd shift Pay rate $20 to $30 based on experience



This person is responsible for the daily electrical and mechanical maintenance of all plant equipment.



  • Repair down equipment as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment per maintenance schedule
  • Complete work orders on a timely basis
  • Process improvements regarding maintenance procedures, processes and production


  • Demonstrate a competency in over all equipment knowledge
  • Record and file all necessary documentation
  • General housekeeping of maintenance shop
  • Food and Personnel Safety Related Job Duties
  • To follow all Legacy food safety procedures given at annual trainings.
  • To follow all Legacy personnel safety procedures given at annual trainings.
  • You must alert the Supervisor if you find any mechanical problem or unsafe condition.
  • You must notify QA and Management of any food safety issues or concerns.
  • Other Responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance manager

  • 3yrs+ Experience
  • Certified forklift Operator
  • Certified aerial lift Operator
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to read / write English effectively
  • Ability to perform mathematics addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentages
  • Ability to work in warm environments

VIEW JOBS 3/10/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-08T00:00 Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday Position Overview: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for care and maintenance of all property and production assets in a safe, sanitary and efficient condition. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for staying up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques. Job Responsibilities: * Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems (to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, gar or air required for operation) * Readily available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations. * Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. * Complete work orders in a timely manner maintaining high quality standards. * Maintain communication with other departments, manangement and employees notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production. * Responsible for reporting unsafe conditions to manager along with and food safety violations. * Comply with HACCP and GMP protocols for production. * Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements as trained. * Maintain safe work practices at all times. * Ensure good housekeeping in area where working. * Perform other tasks as negotiated with supervisor. * Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays. Minimum Qualifications * 12 months previous facility maintenance experience ideally in food manufacturing * Basic mathematical calculation skills. * Ability read, write and follow oral and written instructions in the English language. * Ability to work in a fast pace environment, often with limited supervision. * High school or Equivalency Diploma * Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds occasionally. Preferred Qualifications * Professional experience with ammonia refrigeration systems. Lifeway Waukesha WI
