Northwest Lineman College (NLC), is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure our facilities and vehicles are at a benchmark level of operation and maintained in a proactive, positive and helpful manner. What you'll be doing:
Perform mechanical, routine maintenance and general repair on line trucks and other vehicles and equipment.
Ensure interior facilities, exterior grounds, parking lots and vehicles are maintained, functioning efficiently and have a clean appearance, and responds to faculty and staff in a prompt and courteous manner.
Maintain shop area, tools, and equipment in logical and organized format to minimize theft and ensure they are operating properly.
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and all motorized equipment resulting in minimal downtime
The success patterns for this position are:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of two (2) years' prior work experience in vehicle maintenance, general construction, and facility repairs, or any combination of equivalent education and experience
Valid driver's license, good driving record, and able to obtain a CDL Class A with Airbrake endorsement and Certified Forklift Operator's license during first year of employment

The work environment and physical demands may require:
Ability to tolerate extreme weather conditions while working
Comfort with heights in order to access elevated platforms, roofs, etc.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, and kneeling
Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds
Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools
Strong manual dexterity
Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception (either naturally or with the aid of eye glasses)
Passing a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen
