With guidance and direction from the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Technician will complete changeovers, perform maintenance, and assist with repairs on all injection molding machinery, molds and related auxiliary and automation equipment used in the injection molding and assembly operations. The individual will assist the Plant Manager in identifying problems and developing solutions that will increase productivity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(including but not limited to)

  • Complete changeovers as per schedule in a safe, timely and professional manner.

  • Ensure proper use of crane, lift trucks, and mold carts

  • Ensure proper connections of electrical, hydraulic, and cooling systems to the mold.

  • Maintain and repair all machinery, molds, and related equipment in a timely manner while upholding the highest quality standards of work.

  • Document and report status of all maintenance and repair work performed on the machinery and equipment.

  • Work with suppliers as needed to troubleshoot and maintain machinery.

  • Assist in maintaining correct spare parts inventory levels.

  • Complete any tasks or other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.


  • The individual must have at least two (2) years of experience in the maintenance of equipment.

  • Strong mechanical skills are required.

  • Ability to follow directions and work in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Operation, repair and maintenance specifically related to injection molding machines and other related auxiliary equipment is a plus.

VIEW JOBS 3/27/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-25T00:00 The Process Technician is responsible for producing parts that meet the company's quality standards while maintaining standard cycle times and following established molding processes. The individual will perform level III QA audits; make color and material changes, mold insert changes and hot stamp changes as dictated by the schedule. The individual will provide effective leadership of a small team of assemblers in the production area to ensure accurate assembly of parts and compliance with plant safety and quality policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Technical Aspects * Maintain standard cycle times for all products and document and communicate any deviations to the Production Manager * Troubleshoot common molding and automation problems and perform corrective action. * Perform changeovers, including mold inserts and hot stamp change overs, from installation to startup. * Correctly read, review, and fill out appropriate documentation for material identification, special production requirements, hot stamp type & foil selection, instructions tags and labels. * Report all damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the Production Manager for prompt repair. * Perform color and material changes in a safe, clean, and timely manner. * Program color blender by entering shot weight and concentrate let down ratio to provide correct color for molded part. * Execute scheduled color changes to ensure product color is correct and uniform and done with minimum production overruns or waste. * Clean metal separators and magnets and remove any contaminated material to the designated area. * Report unusual findings the Production Manager. Supervisory Aspects * Provides guidance and coaching to employees on company culture, policies and procedure and compliance with plant safety and quality policies. * Ensures all production employees are following safety, quality and environmental standards. * Perform level III QA audits and monitor and maintain quality objectives * Report downtime reasons and rejects using IQMS. * Print work orders and perform 1st article inspections. * Work with production and support department managers/leaders to maximize objectives. Qualifications: * Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an injection molding environment * Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience leading production employees preferred * Experience with automation a strong plus * Good leadership skills * Must be a self- starter with high initiative and able to work independently * Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands * Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (IQMS preferred) * Good written and verbal communication skills Monoflo International Ottawa KS
