With guidance and direction from the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Technician will complete changeovers, perform maintenance, and assist with repairs on all injection molding machinery, molds and related auxiliary and automation equipment used in the injection molding and assembly operations. The individual will assist the Plant Manager in identifying problems and developing solutions that will increase productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(including but not limited to)
Complete changeovers as per schedule in a safe, timely and professional manner.
Ensure proper use of crane, lift trucks, and mold carts
Ensure proper connections of electrical, hydraulic, and cooling systems to the mold.
Maintain and repair all machinery, molds, and related equipment in a timely manner while upholding the highest quality standards of work.
Document and report status of all maintenance and repair work performed on the machinery and equipment.
Work with suppliers as needed to troubleshoot and maintain machinery.
Assist in maintaining correct spare parts inventory levels.
Complete any tasks or other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
The individual must have at least two (2) years of experience in the maintenance of equipment.
Strong mechanical skills are required.
Ability to follow directions and work in a safe and efficient manner.
Operation, repair and maintenance specifically related to injection molding machines and other related auxiliary equipment is a plus.
