THE ROOSEVELT AT SALT CREEK is recruiting for a hospitality focused Maintenance Technician to join our team! This role is responsible for assistance in maintaining aspects of the physical plant. Conducting, under supervisor direction, preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment and plumbing repairs; maintains safe working environment and assists other department employees as needed.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:
Ensure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing maintenance procedures.
Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area.
Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
Regulate heating and ventilation systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of energy.
Assists in fire pump and generator testing, wheelchair, bed, and nurse call preventative maintenance as required.
Performs routine carpentry repairs such as kitchen cabinets, window screens or glass, door locks, and plaster or drywall repair.
Performs plumbing maintenance (e.g., replacement or repair of leaks in drains, faucets, or floats, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices).
Performs routine electrical work such as replacing outlets, creating outlets lines & other basic electical duties.
Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Operate a variety of equipment and machines including saws, drills, drill presses, and other hand and power tools to perform repair and maintenance work.
Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair by making notes and recommendations using a pre-established check sheet.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
High School diploma or equivalent in training, education and experience
Minimum one year experience in building maintenance
One year or more experience in apartment and/or healthcare community maintenance
Salary ranges from: $22 - $25 per hour
