Summary:
Conduct Maintenance on equipment and facilities for Production and Operations Support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports the manufacturing and shipping operations of the IPS Corporation by successfully executing maintenance on equipment and facilities, reducing production and operations downtime, and actively involved in continuous improvement.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibility.

Requirements:
Ability to work safely, knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, especially those that apply to maintenance activities
Five to ten years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints and drawings
Ability to use measuring devices i.e. Calipers, electrical meter, pressure reading devices, temperature gages, etc.
PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to execute work orders and preventive maintenance schedules resulting in reduced production/operations downtime.
Electrical and mechanical trouble shooting skills
Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuits
Basic PLC, ladder logic, and motor drive trouble shooting skills
Basic facilities knowledge includes; HVAC, compressors, water chillers, plumbing, etc.
Ability to analyze maintenance data including; emergency vs. schedule maintenance work, PM compliance, maintenance downtime, etc.
Possess excellent communication skills
Maintains an active customer service attitude
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret charts and graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to solve problems involving known and unknown variables in existing and new situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
The noise level is above 85db and hearing protection must be worn at all times on the production floor. Temperatures in the winter are as low at 50 degrees Fahrenheit and as high as 100+ degrees Fahrenheit in the summer.
