    This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff. The maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor. In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will assume all maintenance responsibilities.

    Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities: Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment and tools as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager. Diagnoses and performs minor or routine maintenance and repairs within homes and throughout the property.

    Inspects and helps coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services. Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter. Performs any additional duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.

    Contributes to a positive team environment and happy resident base. Maintenance Technician Qualifications: Prior maintenance experience in property management strongly preferred, but not required Proficient in unit turns and appliance repair is a plus Excellent customer service skills Strong team player Willingness to learn and take initiative on tasks and projects Weekends/listed schedule days are required Must have valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage Supplies their own tools If you do not fully meet the qualifications listed above but feel you have the skills and experience to be able to be successful in this position we welcome your application Whether this or another position within Thrive, we would love to help you find the right role in our organization.

    Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day. Estimated 66% - 100% of time is spent on feet. Occasional need to bend/stoop/squat, climb stairs, push or pull, and reach above shoulder (cleaning up litter, putting out advertisement sandwich boards, put out balloons, open doors, pick up and move items) Ability to lift/move/push/pull up to 150 lbs on occasion with a frequent need to lift/push/pull 25 lbs
