Maintenance Technician III

Summary: AgriNorthwest is seeking a knowledgeable and collaborative Maintenance Technician III who will maintain and repair all mechanical systems of the grain elevator and drying equipment.

Responsibilities: • Assist the maintenance supervisor with the preventative maintenance plan for the grain handling operations. • Actively support and manage preventative plant maintenance and repairs. • Perform maintenance duties, fabrication, installations, upgrades, and emergency repairs while following safety standards and protocols, including food safety, product quality, and personal safety. • Act as a lead on repairs/projects and help to mentor and motivate maintenance technicians while working alongside them. • Make educated decisions regarding proper course of action during repairs. • Recommend prioritizations, scheduling, approvals, as well as other tasks and processes improvements. • Adhere to all safety procedures and champion a best-in-class safety culture. • Upkeep any industry and trade-related training, licenses and certifications required to perform job effectively. Qualifications: • 2 years relevant and recent experience with strong industrial maintenance background. • Fabrication, welding, cement and grouting experience. • Skilled with electric welder, wire feed welder, oxy-acetylene welder, and cutting torch. • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, gas and diesel engines, gearboxes, bearings, couplings, and belt drives for diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance functions. • Computer proficiency in software programs including MS tools. • Strong demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, problem solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. • Ability to communicate effectively in English. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. • Ability to operate, repair, plan and install components on processing equipment. • A valid, in-state driver's license with CPR and First-Aid certifications. • Must be able to pass and maintain safe forklift and aerial lift operator certifications. • Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays.
