POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for the maintenance of corporate facilities and other tasks as needed.

The Maintenance Technician III reports to the Maintenance Tech Supervisor. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED and 5 years' experience, AA degree with 3 years' of experience, or bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience.

Experience should be reflective of progressively increased responsibilities, making repairs to equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, HVAC maintenance, painting, carpentry and grounds with independent judgment. Knowledge of basic office equipment Electrical, plumbing, and/or EPA/HVAC certifications highly preferred. Ability to obtain EPA Type 2 Refrigerant Handling Certification within 3 months.

Valid California driver's license, proof of insurance, and personal transportation Qualifications SPECIFIC DUTIES: Adhere to Maintenance Technician's Daily PM Schedule Plumbing repairs and installations Process HVAC maintenance. HVAC repairs upon completion of EPA Type 2 Refrigerant Handling certification.

Replace light bulbs, switches, plugs, ballast, and other electrical repairs and installations Interior and exterior painting and wall repairs Construction of building systems Complete Maintenance Request forms as directed Assemble furniture/cabinets Assemble and setup medical equipment General maintenance of facilities or other areas as assigned Able to operate all power and hand tools required to complete tasks Provides technical assistance to Maintenance Technicians as assigned Ability to work independently Analyze problems and respond by addressing appropriate repairs with little or no direction Ability to recognize problems that may be urgent and act appropriately by resolving or reporting the issue Perform other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures Knowledge of basic office equipment Knowledge of building maintenance concepts Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment Skill in manual and finger dexterity Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions Ability to follow instructions Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with staff and vendors Ability to communicate clearly Ability to problem solve independently. Listens skillfully and displays a willingness and ability to acknowledge the needs, expectations, and values of others through the use of reflective listening and empathy conveyance.

Responds to needs in ways that are helpful and beyond expectation. Communicate effectively by using welcoming words, proper tone of voice, appropriate body language, eye contact and smiling with every interaction. Ability to provide excellent customer service that is reflective of a culture that values trust and respect.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Prolonged walking or standing, repeated stooping, squatting, stretching, climbing of ladders. Requires eye-hand coordination in utilizing equipment and tools.

Frequent lifting and carrying materials up to 65 pounds. Fine manual dexterity necessary to repair or replace fine components. Ability to work under high stress conditions, keeping irregular hours.

Potential exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids, due to proximity of work in a medical facility. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: On-site work area environment.

Frequent exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards. Occasional evening or weekend work. Driving (Range) Between Stockton/Vacaville, etc.
