POSITION SUMMARY
Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all assets used in the operation of the warehouse. Focus could be on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or Operational & Building Maintenance (OBM).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in a safe and professional manner at all times, keeping the safety of oneself and others as their highest priority
Perform Lock Out/Tag Out on all assets
MHE-Perform PM's and repairs on:
o Crown and Raymond Forklifts
o Batteries/Chargers
o Conveyor System & Packaging Equipment
o HVAC & Lighting systems
o Cubiscans/Scales
o Fire & Security Systems
o Racking Repairs
o Dock assets
o General building
Learn new skills that will benefit the Team and Company as a whole
Safely operate all warehouse equipment, while abiding by all forklift safety training, to ensure a safe work environment
Effectively communicate, with Manager and Team members, through phone, text, and email
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System to document labor, assets, and inventory
Report any accidents, incidents, or Safety concerns to a supervisor immediately
Keep work zone clean and orderly and help maintain a safe and clean work environment
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years of relevant maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing or distribution environment
Minimum of 2 years' experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Previous experience in the Electrical, Mechanical, PLCs, or HVAC fields preferred
Electrical troubleshooting skills are beneficial
Experience with automated conveyor systems and/or Crown lift equipment is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.
Ability to work at elevations of up to 50 feet
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
May require occasional travel to other facilities within the region
