GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Basic responsibilities include, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems and on injection molding machines. Core equipment includes injection molding machines, automation and assembly work cells, material handling, chiller systems and water heating units.

Responsible for maintaining facilities by assuring all facilities and plant equipment are functioning, clean, orderly, project an attractive image, and are in compliance with relevant regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate will perform minor and routine building maintenance tasks and assist in arranging for the repair and upkeep of required equipment.

The position requires hands-on strong mechanical trouble shooting skills required and hand tool knowledge.

The core equipment includes injection molding machines, automation and assembly work cells, material handling and chiller system.

Assisting in development of any maintenance technician I(s) in troubleshooting, repairs and knowledge in the field.

RESPONSIBILITES

1.Follows all safety requirements.

2.Repair, maintain and troubleshoot injection molding machines, automation, auxiliary equipment, grinders, dryers, etc.

3.Dismantle and inspect parts, rebuild and overhaul complete machines troublesome machine components.

4.Service and maintain robotics, hoists, power and miscellaneous material handling equipment.

5.Maintain and repair plant systems to include plumbing, heating and air conditioning, ventilating and exhaust equipment, compressors, etc.

6.Perform electrical repairs to machines and equipment. Diagnose electrical / electronic malfunctions, troubleshoot microprocessors.

7.Work from complicated drawings, plans, sketches and layouts.

8.Assist in performing preventive maintenance activities on all production equipment in a timely manner.

9.Use precision measuring instruments such as scale, calipers, dividers, level, micrometers, etc..



  1. Maintain the parking lots, stairwells and walkways and assists with grounds cleanup maintenance duties

  2. Rearrange office areas as requested; move furniture, computers, etc.

  3. Assist in performing machine moves, hook-ups and placements as requested.

  4. Maintain exterior grounds including but not limited to: removing fallen yard debris, trimming and pruning shrubs and trees, picking up garbage in yard, removing snow in parking lot and around office and other public areas this location.

  5. Other projects and tasks as assigned.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ Years' experience in the maintenance arena

  • Experience with injection molding machines from 10-1000T preferred

  • Provide own tools.

  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance skills, ability to troubleshoot and repair all production facility equipment.

  • Proficient in the following trades: Welding, electronics, air compressor, machine shop, hydraulics, and electrical maintenance very desirable.

  • Must be able to apply common sense, understand and carry out instructions given in written, verbal or diagram form.

  • The ability to effectively prioritize activities and conduct duties with minimal supervision is important.

  • The ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions where limited information exists

EDUCATION GUIDELINES

High School Diploma or equivalency required. High School Diploma or equivalency required. Associates Degree in relevant field and/or certification/license in electrical, HVAC, Plumbing and/or industrial training/experience which includes a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems.
