Your responsibilities

Summary of Position:Oversee the maintenance systems in the plant, with the ability to inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment. Key Accountabilities:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and similar problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs on all equipment

  • Establish appropriate frequency and perform regular preventive maintenance activities on all machinery/equipment in the facility utilizing and maintaining company CMMS system

  • Perform timely facility/building maintenance and minor repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment

  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance on all equipment

  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs

  • Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance

  • Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and

  • Complete all job duties in a manner that does not put him/herself or other individuals in an unsafe situation and wear all PPE (personal protective equipment) as required

  • Assist in any duties to support the operations, as requested by supervisor or manager

Your profile

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an industrial, maintenance environment

  • Formal degree or certificate or demonstrated experience in a technical area or related field required

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings

  • Little or no supervisor assistance is required

  • Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, climb, reach and lift up to 40 lbs

  • Ability to read and write English and perform basic math problems

  • Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry

  • Obtain and maintain current certification to operate material handling equipment such as, forklift, side-loader, 4-directional lift, or cherry picker

Preferred:

  • Strong electrical and industrial electronic troubleshooting skills, including experience with machine control systems
