Maintenance Technician II

Wyndemere Senior Living, located just outside of Downtown Wheaton, is currently searching for a skilled Maintenance Technician II. In this role you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, plastering, hydraulics and machine servicing. You will also be responsible for completing assigned tasks in a timely manner and with quality workmanship. This position assists in creating a best in class environment for our residents and staff using past experiences, creativity, and independent judgment.

Salary Range: $23-25 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance duties

• Perform assigned preventative and corrective maintenance

• Complete work requests and assignments in a timely manner

• Respond to emergency maintenance situations

• Perform minor to moderate building repairs

• Perform minor to moderate repairs to common areas across the building as well as resident apartments/townhomes

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and co-workers following established procedures and safety regulations; and follows healthcare regulatory requirements required by IDPH, JCAHO, NFPA and NEC

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience in maintenance or construction in a commercial/industrial setting. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred

• Experience in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, plastering, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine servicing required

• Boiler Operators License is a plus

• Ability to work independently

• Valid drivers license required

• Availability for after-hours on-call rotation
