Maintenance Technician II

Apply Description JOB SUMMARY Performs routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on production equipment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintains proper documentation and communication of all tasks performed in the site's CMMS Repairs, tests, and installs equipment Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronic units and systems Tests components and circuits Replaces defective components and wiring, and adjusts mechanical parts Aligns, adjusts and calibrates equipment Maintains records of repairs, calibrations and tests Performs programming and troubleshooting of PLC controllers Reads blueprints or manufacturer's specifications OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Special projects and other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY N/A EDUCATION Degree or certificates from a two-year college or technical school in electro/mechanical technology, industrial maintenance, or similar EXPERIENCE Seven years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in manufacturing, or equivalent combination of education and experience SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS Expert knowledge of hand and power tools Highly proficient with pneumatics and hydraulics Knowledge of mechanical systems, electronics, motors, and general industry OSHA 10 certified FANUC HandlingTool Programing certificate required Thorough knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting Ability to operate a motor vehicle Valid driver's license or ability to obtain such within 90 days of appointment Eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) Willing to work in an environment that requires a "Safety First" attitude.
