Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and assistance from other more skilled maintenance personnel, the Maintenance Tech II will be responsible for scheduled maintenance tasks, assisting in repairing all equipment, and documenting maintenance tasks and repairs on production lines and equipment within their shift. The Maintenance Technician II must be able to to work on electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems within a large, 24/7 manufacturing environment. The incumbent will display a commitment to AZEK Core Values. Applicants must have a strong industrial electrical background. This position is for B or D Crew on nights.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times.

  • Shows consistent desire, learning, and improvement in all maintenance responsibilities, duties, and tasks.

  • Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.

  • Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators within the level of their current abilities.

  • Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).

  • Assists operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks

  • Leads preventative maintenance process on the shift within the level of their current abilities.

  • Supports in line commissioning after maintenance/process events

  • Leads and supports other plant projects as needed

  • Operates in a manner that provides value to the team

  • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required; enrollment in advanced education and/or related-certification(s) such as Facility Maintenance certification course, a plus.

  • Experience in a similar position, a plus.

  • Will meet qualification and certification requirements established by AZEK Training Resources.

  • Ability to show constant learning and improvement in working with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems

  • Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment, a plus.

  • Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program.

  • Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

  • Stick and wire welding experience preferred with structural welding certification, a plus

  • Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus.

  • Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus

  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings or an approved plan to learn how to read and understand drawings.

  • Strong decision making, analytical skills and proven ability to work cross-functionally

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities

  • Strong mathematical skills

  • Success in planning, executing and managing projects

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences

  • Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment

  • Work schedule flexibility, with advance notice, to accommodate needs of the business

Physical Demands:

Ability to work in an environment that can become very hot/cold (temperature) depending on the weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; climb ladders; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must individually lift and/or move up to 75 lbs., occasionally, and 125 lbs. with assistance, infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Travel is not required.

  • Bonus will be paid after 60 days ( details upon hire)
