Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to assist with maintaining an industrial laundry facility. Responsibilities include but are not limited to repairing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting industrial equipment, systems and components including but limited to washers, dryers, steam tunnels, conveyor systems and boilers; performing preventive/predictive maintenance; performing various welding activities; preforming boiler chemical testing and making necessary chemistry adjustments; resolving safety concerns; performing indoor and outdoor housekeeping; maintaining inventory supplies; preparing maintenance records; identifying and evaluating, monitoring work performed by inside and outside service companies; responding to emergency alarms; and mentoring Maintenance Technician I partners.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 5 years' experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or in the military

  • Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English

  • Experience with and ability to read a blueprint

  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skills

  • Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8 hour shift

  • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred

  • Boiler knowledge

  • HVAC experience

  • Prior experience and ability to perform welding activities such as MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting and brazing

VIEW JOBS 3/22/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-20T00:00 Position Summary: * Performs periodic inspection/maintenance and troubleshooting on processing equipment, plant facilities and other mechanical and electrical systems. Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the reliability of plant assets. * Ensures operation of facility and process equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements per manufacturer's specifications or equipment breakdown history; this includes but is not limited to referencing diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications. * Assist in troubleshoot machinery and automation failures as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, winding machines, presses, CNC mills/lathers, pneumatics, motor control devices, PLC's, input sensing devices, such as limit switches, photo sensors, level sensors, etc.; other output devices, such as solenoid valves, indicators, alarms, etc. * Completes scheduled PM checklists on facility or process equipment per maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled preventive maintenance. * Assist in the design and installation of new or upgraded equipment and machinery, such as conduit, wiring, power distribution, machine controls, machine automation, motors, counters, lighting, heat tracing, etc. * Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed. * Performs other related duties as assigned or necessitated by business conditions, e.g. ISO/TS procedures, general maintenance, outside custodial duties, etc. Requirements * High school diploma and three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience related to maintenance. * Able to quickly and accurately diagnose equipment malfunctions to maximize production availability, performance and quality. * Able to read and interpret schematics (electrical, electronic, pneumatic and mechanical) and technical documents (safety, operating, troubleshooting and maintenance manuals) to assist in troubleshooting and/or determine methods and sequence of assembly. * Good teambuilding abilities, excellent verbal and written communication, analytical problem solving skills and working knowledge of PC Systems. Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds. * Able to use mechanical and electrical tools as well as test and measuring equipment to assemble and/or troubleshoot equipment.
