The Opportunity:

The Maintenance Technician - I position is responsible for assisting in performing a variety of semi-skilled mechanical work with line set-up, maintenance and repair of components, equipment and systems. They will also perform semi-skilled mechanical and/or.

• Understand and demonstrate the behavior that the safety of yourself and other coworkers is paramount and is the #1 priority.

• Perform safety inspections in manufacturing or repair settings.

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) or clean-up tasks.

• Repair or maintain the operating condition of production machinery.

• Set-up production lines

• Operate maintenance vehicles including aerial lifts, personnel transport vehicles, and forklifts.

• Assist Maintenance Technician's II, III, and IV in performing tasks in maintenance repair, and installation of equipment and systems.

• Perform semi-skilled repair of mechanical equipment.

• Examine parts for defects, breakage or wear.

• Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.

• Clean, lubricate or adjust parts, equipment or machinery.

• Document repairs and maintenance performed.

• Document parts or materials used and request new parts or materials as necessary.

• Maintain and repair work tools or equipment.

• Lubricate machinery or parts.

• Position align or level machines or structures.

• Maintain repair records as assigned.

• Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.

• Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrate the ability to follow and/or interpret oral and written directions.

• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

• Perform the essential functions and requirements of this classifications.

• Learn to operate maintenance vehicles including aerial scissor lift and forklift

• Overtime as necessary

• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Forklift Certified

• One or more-year(s) experience as warehouse clerk preferred.

• Fluency in English required, verbal and written.

• Basic computer literacy preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Perform job duties in severe weather conditions: heat, cold, rain, etc.

• Work from ladders

• Walk for distances of 100 yards repeatedly and without assistance.

• Lift 50 pounds and without assistance or equipment

• Utilize all material handling equipment without assistance.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time as a primary job responsibility.

• Observance of established safety guidelines in conducting physical work activity duties.

• Wear protective equipment as required.
