Maintenance Technician I

Responsibilities / Tasks

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and install production and warehouse equipment.

• Design, quote, and oversee facility improvement projects.

• Keep equipment information and maintenance logs up to date.

• Report unsafe conditions to the Senior Director and suggest corrective measures.

• Maintain orderly and efficient tool and repair equipment areas.

• Occasionally travel (5%) to other GEA facilities for hygiene and microsite support.

• Adhere to company policies and procedures.

• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in scheduled preventative maintenance.

• Basic knowledge of pump, meter, and valve repairs.

• Basic understanding of single and 3-phase motor control circuits.

• Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email).

• Working knowledge of HVAC, air compressor, plumbing, and basic carpentry.

• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Occasional over-the-head lifting.

• Frequent walking within departmental offices and throughout the plant.

• Occasional standing, stooping, bending, listening, talking, hearing, and reaching.

• Occasional stair climbing, ladder climbing, and forklift operation.

• Handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally.

• Occasional use of boom and scissor lifts up to 30 feet in height.
