The purpose of this job is to perform a variety of manual and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains cleanliness of city facilities including park shelters, restrooms, and playgrounds.
Collects trash and recycling throughout the park system. Mulches playgrounds and removes graffiti
Conducts preventative maintenance of structures and equipment; performs minor repairs to fixtures as directed.
Assists with, maintaining, and distributing supplies.
Repairs or replaces appliances and equipment.
Paints prepared surfaces.
Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The Maintenance Technician I will work in the Maintenance Division of the Parks & Recreation Department with the primary focus of work related to cleaning park shelters and bathrooms. This position is also responsible for picking up trash within the park system, graffiti removal, and mulching of playgrounds. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an excellent driving record.
This position is full-time with benefits and an hourly pay rate of $18.23 - $22.43 ($37,925 - $46,648 annually). Plus $1.00 per hour shift differential for all hours worked 6:00 pm
Position hours are Sunday-Thursday with varying start times between 4am and 8am for 8 hour shifts.
