Perform various aspects of building and grounds maintenance, machinery maintenance, and record keeping. Maintain and repair the buildings and grounds to include vehicles and general production hand tools. Assist maintenance technicians in the repair of equipment when assigned. Work with hazardous materials and hazardous waste storage and disposal. Assist in the entry of data in the facility maintenance tracking software system. Meet production standards within the allotted time standards with minimal supervision.
Perform routine and scheduled preventative maintenance on specified production and facility equipment, machinery, and tools.
Run air and power hand tools in performing assigned repairs.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day to day basis.
Keep maintenance and tool records current; including safety checklists as assigned.
Fabricate or assemble equipment as required.
Ensure that hazardous waste that is handled is placed into the proper container(s).
Maintains all satellite and storage containers in a closed position unless adding or removing waste. .
Cleans up biohazard fluid spills. Facilitates spill response procedures and evacuation routes.
Will perform other facility maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):
Meet standards of safety and 5-S requirements.
Attention to detail.
Forklift and Scissor lift license required.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
Ability to utilize linear and other types of measuring devices effectively.
Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it.
Must be knowledgeable of all safety and environmental requirements of all jobs in the facility.
Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
Ability to work Overtime to include Fridays and occasional Saturdays.

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40#'s without assistance.
Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.
Ability to work with arms above head.
Ability to work in close quarters and off of ladders, scaffolding or lifts.
Capable of a large amount of walking.
Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery including respirators.
Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Ability to work in 105-degree heat for excess of ten (10) hours per day.
Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
