Performs a wide range of repair, housekeeping, security, and messenger duties.

Responsibilities:
A listing of the key responsibilities

  • Performs basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and miscellaneous repairs and preventive maintenance duties.

  • Maintains interior and exterior areas in a clean, comfortable and safe condition including snow and medical waste removal, landscaping and general housekeeping duties.

  • Transports personnel, deposits, medical records, X-rays, US mail and clinic intra/inter office mail, parcels/packages, tools, and medical equipment.

  • Receives shipments at the loading platform, maintains inventory records, and distributes and replenishes supplies, equipment, or materials.

  • Assists patients and staff with building safety and security issues. Secures areas of the clinic during shift and for securing the facility at the end of the business day.

  • Contacts the police / fire departments with immediate issues of building security or emergencies.

  • Sets up rooms for meetings or conferences, arranges tables and chairs and secures specified AV materials and equipment.

  • Rotates through schedule for emergency calls as requested for building related emergencies, after hours alarm calls, staffing shortages and snow removal operations.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.

  • Prior experience in a health care environment preferred.

  • Excellent organization and written and oral communicate skills.

  • Experience with the operation and maintenance of building mechanical systems.

  • Knowledge of air quality, OSHA, toxic substances and other related environmental issues that could impact health care facilities. Be available for on-call.

Required Licensure/Certification

Skills:
  • Must possess a valid New Hampshire driver's license and a clean driving record.

  • Basic Life Support training required.

Position Details: As a Surgical Technologist/Certified Surgical Technologist, you will be providing surgical care to patients within the operating room under the supervision of perioperative nurses and surgeons. You will utilize and follow AORN's Perioperative Standards and Recommended Practices and AST Standards of Practice as a reference to ensure quality, safety and appropriateness of patient care. The Surgical Services team is led by both the Director of Peri-operative Services and Director of Ambulatory Services, as well as three (3) Nurse Managers. There are 19 surgical suites and the top three services include, orthopedics, urology, and general surgery. We also have specialty services that include, open heart surgery, laser lead extraction, robotics for urology, gynecology, thoracic, and general. Career ladder progression available! Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm OR 9:00 am - 7:30 pm with rotational call including weekends. Requirements: * At least one (1) year of experience as a Surgical Technologist * Graduate from an accredited Certificate or Associate Degree program and Surgical Technology * Surgical Technology Certification from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) within 1 year of hire is required * Medical Technician registration within 3 months of hire is required * Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association * Minimal call requirements (3 to 4 days per month, with one of those days being a weekend coverage) Concord Hospital is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
