Performs a wide range of repair, housekeeping, security, and messenger duties.
A listing of the key responsibilities
Performs basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and miscellaneous repairs and preventive maintenance duties.
Maintains interior and exterior areas in a clean, comfortable and safe condition including snow and medical waste removal, landscaping and general housekeeping duties.
Transports personnel, deposits, medical records, X-rays, US mail and clinic intra/inter office mail, parcels/packages, tools, and medical equipment.
Receives shipments at the loading platform, maintains inventory records, and distributes and replenishes supplies, equipment, or materials.
Assists patients and staff with building safety and security issues. Secures areas of the clinic during shift and for securing the facility at the end of the business day.
Contacts the police / fire departments with immediate issues of building security or emergencies.
Sets up rooms for meetings or conferences, arranges tables and chairs and secures specified AV materials and equipment.
Rotates through schedule for emergency calls as requested for building related emergencies, after hours alarm calls, staffing shortages and snow removal operations.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
High School graduate or equivalent required.
Prior experience in a health care environment preferred.
Excellent organization and written and oral communicate skills.
Experience with the operation and maintenance of building mechanical systems.
Knowledge of air quality, OSHA, toxic substances and other related environmental issues that could impact health care facilities. Be available for on-call.
Must possess a valid New Hampshire driver's license and a clean driving record.
Basic Life Support training required.
