MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN FOR STAYPINEAPPLE UNIVERSITY INN IN SEATTLE, WA.

Handy doesnt even begin to describe you. Were looking for the ultimate Jack (or Jill)-of-All-Trades.

Our Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining and repairing all hotel equipment from kitchen, laundry and plumbing to HVAC, electrical and guest roomsall with minimum downtime. Easy, right?

What You Bring:

Hope you can keep a lot of balls in the air because youre going to be juggling a million tasks both inside and outside of the hotel. This job requires razor-sharp attention to detail and an unwavering ability to focus.

Think you have what it takes? Heres a snapshot of a typical day:

  • Making repairs to electrical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment as needed, with minimum down time.

  • Installing and replacing light fixtures and bulbs.

  • Conducting scheduled inspections as well as checking and repairing equipment malfunctions.

  • Securing the building as needed including monitoring, activating and resetting automatic security systems, repairing broken locks and maintaining keys to the building.

Where Youve Been:

Were looking for someone with a High School diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of one years trade-related and/or training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and building maintenance. Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools doesnt hurt either.

Who Were Looking For: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (ENGINEER II) FOR STAYPINEAPPLE UNIVERSITY INN IN SEATTLE, WA. Are you fastidious, detail-oriented and extremely mechanically inclined? Then this could be the job for you. Our Maintenance Supervisor (Engineer II) is responsible for the maintenance of our entire hotel property in accordance with impeccable Pineapple Hospitality standards. What You Bring: Not gonna lie, youll be in working with all sorts of stuff around here so you must have the ability to take the ball and run with it. This means unfailingly maintaining a team work approach even while juggling countless mundane tasks that can range from overseeing installation of equipment to repairing broken locks. Here are a few other things you can expect to do during a typical day: * Ensuring maintenance of the hotel property is performed in a timely manner without impacting the guest experience. * Working with the General Manager and reviewing repair needs, assignments, tasks and ongoing projects * Doing preventative maintenance and repairs on all hotel equipment with minimum downtime to major systems (laundry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.). * Performing maintenance and repairs for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment, elevators, lighting, water systems and boilers, lock system and others as needed. * Making carpentry repairs to hotel as necessary, such as patching holes, painting, repairing broken items, etc. Where Youve Been: Were looking for someone with a minimum of three years trade related experience and/or training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and building maintenance. Hotel, institutional HVAC systems experience is a strong plus. You must have hands on knowledge of building mechanical systems and controls, energy management and building maintenance skills. Supervisory experience is preferred. When Youre Here: This probably goes without saying but youll be on your feet a lot. There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting, climbing stairs and more. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
