Maintenance Technician - Facilities

The person in this role will provide technical support to all facility equipment and auxiliary equipment. Duties will include emergency facility repairs, preventative maintenance work, and support related projects from the Engineering Department.

Your responsibilities will be to:

• Respond to emergency calls in a safe and timely manner

• Support the Engineering group when scheduled to provide resources

• Complete Preventative Maintenance tasks according to schedule

• Work effectively and efficiently to eliminate waste

• Adhere to procedures set forth by management in daily duties to comply with regulatory demands

Our requirements:

• General knowledge of plant HVAC, process water, compressors, plumbing, and electrical distribution systems

• Certifications or license in a skilled trade is a plus

• Basic use of computers and software, and energy monitoring systems

• Able to perform all types of basic building maintenance work. Oversees and directs mechanical and construction contractors

• Required to wear special PPE such as gloves, steel toe shoes and others as required

• OSHA forklift, fall protection, and arc flash training is a plus

• Maintenance employees work at least 40 hours a week, and overtime is required during peak production times

• Physically fit for long shifts when required. Often must do repetitive tasks, bending or lifting heavy objects. Stand for long periods of time, and climb on/under equipment, as duties demand
