Maintenance Technician

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician. The hourly rate for this position is $32.59 - $38.76 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do:

• Plan, layout, install and maintain, program and trouble shoot electrical and electronic controls and equipment, including PLC and motion control devices, and will perform mechanical tasks associated with the above situations.

• Work from complicated drawings, specifications or wiring diagrams and have a hands-on knowledge of electricity and electronics. This person also must be able to work without drawings and create such drawings when necessary for project work. The technician must keep current with new developments in their respective field.

• Be required to direct the work of helpers, instruct plant emergency squad members and operate a power truck. The person in this position will adhere to all facility safety guidelines and encourage communication and participation of personnel to further identify and reduce/eliminate potential hazards. Constant care is required to prevent injury to others. All work must be performed in accordance with National Electrical Code Requirements.

• Adhere to and support all facility environmental guidelines and procedures to identify additional pollution prevention projects to reduce waste and raw material consumption. The incumbent will also be responsible for organization and cleanliness of the work area, and will support and abide by all procedures set forth to assure product and process quality and plant manufacturing principles

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a High School diploma and/or equivalent from an accredited institution

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment

• Must have proficiency with PLC and other electronics equipment

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 70-mile radius of Lincoln, IL will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of an apprenticeship program

• Further education in the electronics field
