Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:

The Crunch Fitness Preventive Maintenance Technician is a task-oriented individual who appreciates high standards of excellence and is committed to maintaining a clean, crisp, and inviting environment. Primarily responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs in the gyms and its equipment, and will also perform minor repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other club amenities such as massage chairs and tanning beds. Basic skills and experience in these areas, as well as good communication skills, is a must.

Primary Activities:

FACILITIES CARE

Perform routine club-walk-through to ensure the condition of clubs is upheld to ensure a positive member experience that represents the Crunch Fitness brand

Maintain and update online tool, recording and maintaining a schedule of historical repair needs for each club

Educate club team members to performs day-to-day operational upkeep of the club's facility and equipment

Transport goods or equipment as assigned

Solicits bids and quotes from vendors to repair and maintain facilities, as necessary

BREAK-FIX SOLUTIONS

Perform routine club walk-throughs to ensure maintenance and repairs meet Crunch standards

Ensure maintenance issues are responded to and resolved as needed

Repair and maintain fitness and UV tanning equipment

Manage and control parts inventory

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

Perform routine maintenance of all assets, with a primary emphasis on the preventative maintenance of fitness equipment

Conduct a walk through to assess fitness equipment conditions and prioritize workload

Ensure all fitness center equipment is functioning safely and correctly

Track all preventative maintenance information in the online tool

Manage & maintain an inventory of parts with accurate records of parts used, exchanged etc.

Strong follow up and communication skills

Physical Demands:

Ability to bend, lift, and carry more than 75 lbs.

Continual standing and walking during shift

Schedule is based on the needs of the business and emergency calls may be required

Required Education and Experience:

Knowledge of facility maintenance and major fitness brand troubleshooting and repairs

Must possess valid driver's license

Must be fluent in English
