Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will oversee the maintenance and provide daily hands on working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support existing business processes for Howden. They will perform and assist with the daily preventative maintenance activities, and assure that these tasks are performed correctly. The Maintenance Technician will schedule and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities of all the production equipment and the facility.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

• Perform routine maintenance of equipment, machinery, and manufacturing facility.

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical problems.

• Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.

• Plans and coordinates repair work using equipment manuals, drawings or outside specialist.

• Assist with upkeep of facilities and performs routine building maintenance.

• Order supplies and materials needed for repair and maintenance.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area and follow all safety rules and regulations.

Your Education Should Be…

High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent

Maintenance knowledge and training, preferably in Manufacturing

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

• Standing, stooping, walking, sitting, etc as needed for entirety of shift

• Ladders, machinery, lifts etc as needed

• Manufacturing floor with multiple pieces of equipment

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

What do you need to bring?

• 5 years prior experience, preferable in a manufacturing setting.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
