Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated (CCM), a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician. Come join us in our new facility in Phoenix, AZ.

This position will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical/electrical/boiler systems within the manufacturing environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work

  • Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems

  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair

  • Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specific procedures

  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications

  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists

  • Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information

  • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance

  • Set up and operate machines, and adjust controls to regulate operations

  • Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies

  • Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment

  • Replace, empty, or replenish machine and equipment containers such as gas tanks or boxes



  • Education: High School diploma or GED required

  • One to two (1-2) years related maintenance experience

  • Previous experience in the following maintenance areas preferred: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler

  • Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures

  • Knowledge of various hand and power tools

  • Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information

  • Effective communication and problem solving skills

  • Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills

  • Ability to work under pressure to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations

Physical Demands:

  • For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • There is a repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds.

  • In addition this position requires the abilities listed with percentages:

  • Walking 30%

  • Standing 20%

  • Lifting 10%

  • Sitting, Squatting, Bending, Reaching above shoulders, Twisting, Kneeling, and Climbing 5%

VIEW JOBS 4/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-16T00:00 Job Requisition JR8201 Worker Time Type Full time Worker Sub-Type Regular Shift Job Description POSITION PURPOSE: The Maintenenace Technician is primarily responsible for the reliable operation and maintenance of the plant's manufacturing systems and physical property. Included activities are preventive maintenance, equipment trouble shooting, spare parts ordering and inventory, and small physical property repairs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Conduct preventive maintenance on production equipment; troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment. 2. Sets up production line and ensures that manufacturing equipment is functional and supplies are ready. Ensure that the reverse osmosis system is functional, guage tolerance levels and assess water quality. 3. Tests production quality by visually inspecting ice for clarity, cube size, and hole space. 4. Minor facility and building grounds maintenance including changing lightbulbs, painting, and minor plant structural repairs. 5. Order and inventory spare parts needed for production equipment and to conduct general facility maintenance. 6. Schedule and assist vendor personnel including chemical technicians who treat water towers, skilled tradesmen, minor project installations (reverse osmosis systems), and grounds maintenance crews. 7. This position may be required to assist with bagging product and occasionally directs production workflow based on production equipment output. 8. Identify and bring opportunities for continuous process improvement to Plant Manager's attention. 9. Complete safety checklists as required by the Safety/Risk Management Department. 10.
