ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair.

2.Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.

3.Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).

4.Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).

5.Reconfigures, installs, positions, and remounts modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.

6.Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment (e.g. walls, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, floors, roofs, doors, restroom facilities, etc.) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g. sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.).

7.Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas.

8.Order parts and maintain required documents.

9.Performs other work related duties as assigned.

We are looking for Maintenance Technicians to repair and maintain tools and other equipment associated with installations; performs required routine preventative and predictive maintenance and other related work on the Fleet and facilities Team. Responsibilities (not all-inclusive) * You will work on a variety of hand-on assignments including maintaining electrical distribution, pumping, mechanical and chemical equipment, rebuilding and dismantling pumps. * Our Maintenance Technicians complete repairs of valves and heavy equipment and machinery actively perform alignments of equipment. * You will perform routine preventative maintenance using rigging, welding, cutting, machinery alignment, plumbing and pipe fitting. * You will regularly inspect the working condition and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and surrounding areas; replace and repair major equipment and tools. * You will collect and analyze process and performance data used to diagnose, repair and perform preventive maintenance of water equipment, including print reading. * The role includes performing tests and results; maintaining various records and preparing reports, and specifications for new equipment. * As a part of the Maintenance Technicians team, you will perform shift work which could include weekend and holiday assignments. Required Education & Experience * High School or GED * Michigan S4 or F4 license within two (2) years of level 1 designation Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of: * HVAC, High Pressure Boiler, Refrigeration Plumbing, Painting, Masonry and/or Carpentry * Computer Maintenance Management System * Procurement/purchasing, receiving, warehouse/inventory, and service contracting procedures and applications/systems * Tools, methods, materials and practices used in repairing heavy machinery and equipment including some familiarity with methods and equipment used in moving heavy objects Other Requirements: * Must have a valid Michigan Driver's License * Valid CDL-A * This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing Physical Requirements: Are you looking for a job that will get you outside the cubicle?
