Maintaining the interior and exterior of community buildings and grounds is a great career for the individual who likes working with their hands and tools. Our residents will appreciate your services as you keep public and private living areas up to expectations in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

Requirements to be a Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technicians will maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on, but not limited to: HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generators, landscape, kitchen equipment and emergency pull cord equipment. Maintenance Technicians will also perform general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned and respond to maintenance requests by community directors and residents in both private rooms and public living areas. They will also maintain positive communication with local fire marshal, building inspector and any other jurisdictions governing the community.

You will be responsible for the entire facility and grounds excluding those areas of military responsibility such as: kitchens (except when included in a rental agreement), OMS areas, military supply rooms, vehicle compounds, POL building and other like areas.</p><p>A Day in the Life:</p><p>The essential functions of this roles are as follows:</p><ul><li><p>Perform general cleaning duties including, but not limited to dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing floors; vacuuming carpets and upholstery; emptying non-hazardous and recyclable waste containers; washing walls, windows, and mirrors; sanitizing and cleaning restrooms.</p></li><li><p>Perform grounds maintenance work including, but not limited to mowing, trimming, fertilizing, leaf removal, trash pickup, snow and ice removal, and minor repair of parking areas, roads and walks.</p></li><li><p>Perform preventive maintenance on air-conditioning units and heating systems.</p></li><li><p>Maintain safe armory conditions by repairing and replacing broken doors, latches, locks, window glass, etc.</p></li><li><p>Repair and/or replace leaky faucets and toilets, plugged drains, burned out light bulbs, broken electrical switches, outlets and light fixtures, minor repairs to furniture.</p></li></ul><p>The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
