Position Summary
Under the direction departmental supervision, provide leadership and mechanical support for activities associated with manufacturing process and process improvements for the manufacturing of rubber products. Must be available to work 12-hour night shift.
Responsibilities
Provide on site mechanical support, guidance and assistance during plant activities that include start-ups, process and technology transfers, and major process changes.
Need to have good mechanical aptitude and ability to do mathematical calculations, statistical knowledge and understand the principles of physics. Must be able to understand and trouble-shoot ladder logic.
Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and repairing electro-mechanical equipment
Able to write and perform Work Orders as necessary to achieve stated objectives.
Able to troubleshoot equipment.
Collaborate with plant employees to carry out work orders.
Perform data collection and statistical analysis
Complete reports summarizing results and conclusions.
Maintain technical competence in advancing technology via frequent training courses, on the job training, vendor schools, seminars, industry associations and publications.
Perform mechanical or technical training as needed to areas within the plant that are identified as developmental opportunities.
Work in alignment with and support Bandag Mission, Core Values, Quality Statements and Plant Mission Statement.
Care of equipment
Candidate has a High School diploma or GED
Maintenance experience is required
Prefer (5) years of manufacturing experience
