Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician will work in a multitasking role with other maintenance mechanics and electricians to complete any given task within the confines of the individuals' knowledge, experience and safety limitations at Pimalco Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance activities on all equipment within the plant. This includes but is not limited to preventive and predictive maintenance as well as performing breakdown repairs.

  • Minimize equipment down time and perform small project activities.

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

  • Work with others in a team environment and with minimum supervision

  • Troubleshoot and program equipment with Allen Bradley PLC's

  • Install and troubleshoot Allen Bradley frequency drives

  • Own a full assortment of hand tools both metric and standard

  • Repair equipment with minimal documentation

  • Operate mobile equipment such as fork trucks, JLGs and scissor lifts.

  • Maintain a mobile equipment certification as defined by Pimalco.

  • Demonstrate good housekeeping skills.

  • Display good writing skills to keep daily work log book that others can follow

  • Work in a safety conscious environment

  • Recognize that accident prevention is equal in importance to production, quality, delivery and cost control, and accepts the responsibility to work safely and promote safety consciousness among fellow employees.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • 3 years of experience working as an industrial electrician in a heavy manufacturing environment.

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S> person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S> Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong trouble shooting skills both electrical and mechanical

  • Multi-skilled maintenance technician an industrial electrician with strong mechanical skill sets.

  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code

  • Proficient and experienced with high voltage equipment

  • Knowledge of instrumentation, including tuning, calibration and trouble shooting

  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Proficient at welding and burning

  • Proficient with alignments of all type of equipment

  • Familiar with NFPA 54 Combustion Standard and natural gas oven control systems

  • Ability to read electrical/mechanical prints

Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance service requests for the community. They are customer focused and team players who take pride in the work they perform which may also include make-readies, grounds keeping, pool maintenance and preventative maintenance, etc. Camden Maintenance Technicians are experts in customer service who are able to understand and anticipate our customers' needs to create exceptional experiences. Essential Functions * Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner * Coordinate with the maintenance supervisor and team to prioritize tasks throughout the day * Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors * Identify any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions or maintenance needs in the community and correct them or report them to the maintenance supervisor * Perform preventative maintenance on equipment within the community * Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including completing any necessary repairs or replacements * Ensure upkeep of community appearance by replacing lightbulbs, removing trash and litter, painting and performing repairs * Accurately complete records in Onesite regarding service requests, preventative maintenance, and make-ready of vacant apartments * Perform electrical and plumbing work as required * Assist with grounds keeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, distribution of notices, apartment inspections, and other tasks as needed Requirements And here's the fine print HR wants you to know: * Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving/carrying (light to heavy weight material/appliances/equipment up to 50 lbs.), climbing ladders/stairs, and walking on rooftops. * Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small-motorized equipment (i.e., repetitive hand/wrist, griping and elbow motion). * Must have normal range of hearing, vision, color discrimination and depth perception for proper operation of machines and equipment. * Must be able to complete tasks wearing appropriate safety equipment (i.e., back belts, goggles, masks, gloves, etc.). * Must be able to read and write in English at intermediate level to read diagrams, meters, instructions, etc. * Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and plans. * Deals with standardized situations with occasional or no deviations from standard procedures. * Requires public contact and excellent interpersonal skills. * Will be exposed on a regular basis to outdoor environment (i.e., heat, cold, damp, rain, etc.).
