National and Alamo has an exciting opportunity for a Seasonal Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship. The Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship will assist with car and bus service repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and buy back/turn back service according to company policy and procedures. This is a position of routine difficulty requiring the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative. Performs all responsibilities with a focus on the needs of our customers and in accordance with our Quality Standards. The position will be from approximately May 15th, 2019 -September 15th 2019. This will be a seasonal full time position where you will work approximately 30-40 hours a week. Depending upon the applicant's availability, we can create a schedule that works with your school schedule if necessary and within our business hours.

Seasonal employment will end on or before September 15th 2019.

This position pays $15.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with repairs and preventative maintenance that are completed according to the manufacturer's specifications and guidelines.

  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.

  • Perform in-fleet servicing on new cars according to company procedures as required.

  • Perform buy back/turn back servicing according to company procedures as required.

  • Perform vehicle servicing/repairing to maintain company standards; maintain Out-Of-Service at or below 2%.

  • Maintain safe and clean work area.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • The ability to operate a motor vehicle is an essential function of this position. Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

  • Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English

  • Must be willing to accept $15.50 an hour

  • Must live within a 1 hour commute of this location or relocating to this area within the next 30 days

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week

  • Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test

The LaGuardia AirTrain Parks Passerelle Project Manager is responsible for managing the overall implementation of LaGuardia AirTrain's commitments as they relate to the New York City Parks and Recreation's (NYCDPR) replacement of the existing Passerelle. This includes monitoring, coordinating, communicating, reporting, interacting, reviewing, researching, and developing as necessary, the assigned tasks related to the replacement of the existing Passerelle boardwalk as part of the overall LaGuardia Redevelopment (LGAR) team consisting of client management, Jacobs program management representatives, the AirTrain Consultant, community focus groups, outside Agencies, potential DBOM AirTrain Contractors and LaGuardia Airport Operations. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Scope development to support the Client's Procurement processes, * Interaction with multiple Client organizations, * Interface with other Public Agencies, * Technical review of design documents prepared by the AirTrain Consultant related to the NYCDPR Passerelle project, * Monitoring project progress against budget and schedule, * Working with the AirTrain Project Controls support groups, * Interface coordination with potential AirTrain DBOM Contractors, * Addressing technical questions, * Working collaboratively with other members of the AirTrain Program Management Team, * Direct interface with Client Management. * Interface coordination with LaGuardia Airport Operations * Serves as a representative of the LaGuardia Redevelopment project team at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects. * Comply with the Jacobs contract agreement * Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner * Other duties as assigned. #BIA * Bachelor of Science in engineering or a related field. is required * A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Project Manager in a Planning, Engineering, or Transportation organization and/or fifteen (15) years of experience in a project-related technical field is required * Preferable experience should include managing projects for the City of New York, such as, for the City's Parks and Recreation, the City's Department of Transportation, or for the City's Department of Design and Construction. * Requires progressive experience in transportation structures or related infrastructure elements. * Knowledge and experience of New York City's regulations and programs. * Must have developed the following skills; engineering knowledge, leadership, oral and written communication skills, planning, teamwork, decision making, judgment and problem solving At Jacobs, we help prepare people for new opportunities and challenges.
