AMI, Inc in Green Bay, WI is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team!

Job Summary:Supports manufacturing operations by conducting regular maintenance activities

Job Duties:

  • Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.

  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment

  • Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs

  • Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices

  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs

  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery

  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear

  • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs

  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems

  • Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials as necessary

  • Record repairs and maintenance performed

  • Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery

  • Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment

  • Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery

  • Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators

Hours: First Shift - Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $16-$17 per hour (based on experience)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in an Industrial Maintenance program preferred

  • A basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components and concepts

  • Forklift/scissor lift certification or ability to obtain certification

  • Experience in a CNC manufacturing facility preferred

  • An understanding of OSHA rules and regulations such as lockout/tag out, machine guarding, hot work, hazardous communications and other safe working practices

  • Ability to use various hand tools, multi-meters, computers and oscilloscopes

  • Excellent math, computer and organizational skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend and reach above shoulders. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures. The employee must comply with PPE requirements including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and steel toed safety shoes.
