To maintain, install, and repair production and facility equipment. Construct and install, support equipment to production areas.


  • Perform and record preventive maintenance as defined on all production equipment.

  • Repair and maintain all production equipment as required.

  • Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts for repairs and PMs.

  • Move, anchor, and align production machines as requested.

  • Diagnose mechanical machine malfunctions and operating difficulties. Implement repairs and adjustments on machines.

  • Make emergency repairs when necessary to limit excessive downtime and production delays.

  • Make periodic preventative maintenance checks and lubricate all production machinery.

  • Assist in building equipment parts and experimental machines to work order specifications as required.

  • Assist in coordinating material requisitions needed for each project.

  • Observes all applicable safety rules and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to Supervisor.

  • Notify maintenance supervisors, department leader, and value stream mangers when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials etc.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1 year mechanical maintenance experience

  • Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment, maintenance experience preferred

  • Experience in using computers and computer applications


  • Basic knowledge of business processes.

  • Mechanical skills, welding skills (stick and wire feed), print reading, etc.

  • Skills in attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Skills with written and verbal communication.

  • Skills in using drill press, torches, hand tools, cut off saw, iron worker, etc.

  • Ability to obtain forklift and company Vehicle Driver's licenses .

  • Ability to lift 50lbs overhead.

FSBP operates several divisions including GenFlex, GenTite Residential Roofing Systems (RRS) and Gaco. * Maintains and troubleshoots on Cut-To-Length Lines, Slitting Lines, Rollform Lines and other facility equipment such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures. * Visually inspects, diagnoses, and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. * Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. * Completes inventory and purchasing transactions of Industrial Materials, parts, etc. * Coordinates contractor work (includes obtaining price quotes for review by appropriate management. * Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches and motors and position sensing devices, damaged or broken wires and cables. * Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles, clutches and brakes. * Repairs broken parts. * Completes set up and operates metal working tools such as lathe, manual mill, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts. * Fabricates and welds components or assemblies as required with or without blueprints. * Communicates information about equipment so that there is transfer of knowledge in regards to the operation of said equipment to machine operators. * Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair. * Works through production problems to find solutions to those problems. * Completes the build-up and detailed machine breakdown history utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System. * Performs safeguards of equipment to maintain FSMP high safety standards. * Cleans work area, machines, and equipment. * Assists other facilities and team members with maintenance and troubleshooting as requested.
