Ponte Family Estate Winery opened in 2003 and is a California based company operating in the heart of the Temecula Wine Country. We have been farming our vineyards since 1984 and are a real working winery, growing and producing over 20 estate grown varietals within certified sustainable facilities.

We are located right next to our Four Diamond, 90 room, boutique hotel Ponte Vineyard Inn. We are surrounded by 300 acres of mature vineyards and views of rolling hills. We are a short drive from most of Southern California and enjoy hosting folks who want a break from city life. Our guests visit us seeking a relaxing day or overnight stay in the country.

Summary:

Ponte Winery is looking for a Maintenance Technician III to ensure the winery property is presented with qualified and safety standards that exceed that guest's expectations. In this position you will be asked to perform major construction projects and upgrades to the property as well as minor repairs, maintenance, and upkeep tasks. All work will be done under the direction of the Facilities Manager.

The Ideal candidate Will Have the Following:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in facility Maintenance or Construction.

• Qualified candidates will have experience in: Drywall Repair, Painting, Carpentry, Tile, Masonry, Plumbing, Electrical, & HVAC

• Be familiar with safe practices in use of hand tools and power tools

• Extensive knowledge in HVAC and mechanical equipment

• Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment

• Qualified candidates will have experience in: Drywall Repair, Painting, Carpentry, Tile, Masonry, Plumbing, Electrical, & HVAC

• Be familiar with safe practices in use of hand tools and power tools

• Extensive knowledge in HVAC and mechanical equipment

• Ability to maintain, trouble shoot and repair equipment

• Extensive working knowledge in one or more construction trades, with good working knowledge in others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain entire property keeping it in a pristine and presentable manner

• Perform major construction projects, per company needs, on property under the direction of the Facilities Manager

• Perform minor repairs and upkeep on property under the direction of the Facilities Manager

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests in a friendly and courteous manner

• Drive company vehicles as needed to move equipment, materials, wine, etc.

• Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Attention to details & quality driven.

• Ability to work as a team player.

• Must be able to complete tasks effectively, accurately & promptly.

• Carries good work ethics, is polite/respectful to associates and guests.

• Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness).

• Forklift training a plus.

• Always maintain a positive attitude.

• Ability to prioritize work in order of importance.

• Ability to work in high and low temperatures.

• Must be able to lift 75 lbs. regularly.

• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods.
