The Operations team continues to grow and aims to strengthen the connection of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain and Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) across Collins Aerospace. Education / Certifications

Associates Degree Electro-Mechanical program or equivalent.
5-10 years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment may be substituted for degree.

Experience/Qualifications

Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications)

Ability to use basic measuring instruments and hand tools.

Training required in lock out/tag out, hazardous energy, confined space, power industrial vehicles, fall protection and scissor/boom lifts.

Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics.

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Read and write English at a level sufficient to perform job functions.

Communicate and interact with others in a professional, polite, and cooperative manner.

Troubleshoot/diagnose machine tool and PLC issues through the use of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic test equipment, as required.

Research, acquire, and install repair components as needed to complete machine tool repairs.

Complete Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) work orders per required schedule.

Communicate with necessary machine operator and/or management to schedule work orders/PM's and verify success of repairs.

Utilize required material handling and lifting devices while performing duties.

This is a 2nd Shift position. Hours are 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday with the ability to work weekends, (same time and shift) when needed.

Role Overview: Central Inspector shall apply all basic principles, methods, equipment, operating procedures and inspection techniques to enable accurate inspection of manufactured parts. Primary Responsibilities: * Have the skills and knowledge to set up and operate inspection equipment including CMM's, roundness/straightness equipment and surface analyzer. * Possess the skills and knowledge to manually inspect dimensions and features on a surface plate. Inspect features using optical comparators. * Perform audits on certified operators per the QMS requirements. Understand all Geometric callouts and how to inspect to requirements. * Perform preliminary review of discrepant product Perform shipping/receiving/final inspection. * Use of company NCM computer systems. * Have basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technologies. Qualifications: * Candidates must be U.S. Persons or if a Foreign National to be eligible to obtain an export authorization from the applicable U.S. Government department. * Basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technologies. * Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use computer applications (including email, internet, and other job specific applications). * Ability to use basic measuring instruments and hand tools. * Ability to perform mathematical calculations (add and subtract decimals). * Ability to read blueprints. * Comply with all company policies and procedures. * Read and write English at a level sufficient to perform job functions. * Mechanical aptitude. * Communicate and interact with others in a professional, polite, and cooperative manner.
