Maintenance Technician - 2Nd Shift

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire 2nd shift Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician Job in Chattanooga, TN for our client, a busy manufacturer of quality products. The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician performs a variety of general manufacturing maintenance duties which include electrical, PLC Troubleshooting, mechanical, and hydraulic in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment and facilities. The electro-mechanical maintenance technician troubleshoots, installs, dismantles, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and needed repairs. This is a 2nd shift position, working 10 hours Monday through Thursday with up to 8 hours of overtime on Fridays. Our client offers a base salary of $28 to $34 per hour based on experience, with a $1.00 shift premium,  and an excellent benefits package that starts on day one.

Responsibilities for the 2nd shift  Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician job in Chattanooga, TN include:

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate, GED or equivalent experience required. Trade school education is a plus! Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills
• 2+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance technician experience.
• Must be able to troubleshoot PLCs with light programming and editing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work overtime on Fridays
• Must be able to pass client background checks.
