May include:
Repair, maintain, and rebuild all production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Coordinate maintenance processes with the production department in a way in which the production output and packaging is least affected.
Respond to calls from production and management to make repairs.
Perform established preventative maintenance programs.
Assist with all aspects of new equipment installation.
Assist management with scheduling maintenance projects.
Maintain accurate and complete departmental records.
Record all work in Fiix CMMS
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints / schematics.
Ensure all equipment adheres to all applicable safety requirements.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain good 6S housekeeping standards.
Work with contractors as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Nature & Scope:
Works under direct supervision and follows written/verbal instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
Independently performs assignments after given general instructions as to results expected.
Resolves routine questions and problems, coordinates complex issues to others.
Demonstrates an awareness of the relative urgency of tasks and responds accordingly.
Knowledge & Skills:
Safe work habits, following proper LOTO and other OSHA requirements.
"Advanced" skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair.
Must have own maintenance tools, including 480 volt and 3 phase electric voltmeter, and able to use.
Able to effectively and efficiently use various maintenance tools and equipment.
Ability to work with electrical circuits including 24 volt controls, 120-240 volt, single and three phase service.
Capable of using programmable logic controllers to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Ability to work under pressure and ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
Must be able to read and understand written and verbal policy, instruction and directions in English.
Basic ability to use Windows based computer systems.
Diagnose hydraulic and pneumatic issues and repair
Install, assemble and test new machines and equipment
Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience
Monitor, identify signs of malfunctions and correct
Read an electrical schematic
Know how to use a megger
Change out a drive and program a new
Repair and test motors, starters, PLC's and controls
Perform minor electrical repairs
Reading, analyzing and interpreting technical procedures
Able to go in program and fix faults or find the issue using a laptop
Able to trouble shoot, find issue and replace
Good working knowledge of Siemens systems
Able to PM equipment in assigned area
Able to recognize things that are missing on a PM
able to lead a kaizen project for shop improvement
Able to lead a die improvement kaizen
One presented 6s project per quarter
One kaizen per 6 months
Participate in regular 6s activities
Assist and guide LOTO procedures
Overhead Crane inspection sheets filled out.
Keep forklift license updated. Responsible for out dated
PPE requirements zero infraction 1year
ESH policy be able to find
Secondary containers know hoe to find MSDS and correctly label , zero infractions 1year
Able to spot safety violations and assist with corrective actions.
Clean up every shift after your self every day
Experience:
5+ years of experience in:
Industrial maintenance
Pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
DC drives, servos, solenoids, photo eyes, relays, limit switches and electric motors.
PLC systems, preferably Allen Bradley, Siemens and Direct Logic.
Industrial welding: repair as well as fabrication, M.I.G., T.I.G.
Education:
High school diploma or GED Equivalent
Associates degree in electrical or mechanical field or graduation from a trade school, any certifications are a plus, preferred.
