The successful candidate will evaluate and provide operations support to resolve conditions adverse to facility maintenance operations performance. Job responsibilities favor a self-directed individual capable of interpreting engineering drawings, test plans, standards and specifications, policies and procedures and interfacing with multiple TOC organizations to resolve issues.
This position supports Maintenance management by providing technical support to Contractor Assurance System (CAS) issue management. Specific duties include:* Participate in or lead assessments,* Conduct event investigation activities and support root/apparent cause analysis report development,* Assist in field maintenance issue resolution,* Participate/lead in Maintenance Human Performance Improvement initiatives,* Complete technical document reviews and conduct management observation program (MOP) field visits,* Develop/review/modify assigned procedures
BA/BS degree plus a minimum of 10 years experience or equivalent combination of education and years experience.
Desired candidate qualifications would include previous Hanford operations/maintenance/assurance systems experience with proven ability to effectively communicate with subject matter experts, peers, management, HAMTC, support organizations and stakeholders. A demonstrated career progression of increased roles and responsibilities in a technical, operations, engineering or maintenance organization is desired with the ability to obtain/maintain qualifications and/or certifications for assessment team leader, causal analysis, and event investigations.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to write effectively, edit or review technical documents or issue executive summaries for senior management for event occurrences. Demonstrated skills as an advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe Pro, Visio, Statistical and Qualitative data analysis tools, HANDI, Asset Suite, Access Database, or similar is a plus.Desired qualifications favor a candidate with the ability to evaluate complex processes, interpret and understand technical information from multiple sources, and analyze data/issues for mechanical and electrical equipment in development of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
