The Maintenance Technician IV is responsible for preventive and routine maintenance on all Service Center equipment, structures and supporting the production operation. Being a team leader on special assigned projects, fill in for supervisors as required. Design or fabricate the necessary components for projects, as well as perfrm complex repairs to all machiney and equipment with in the service center. Must Posses an operational knowledge of the business to assist in performing supervisory finctions when the business demands.
Monday to Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM
Must be capable of fulfilling a supervisory role and accomplished in five of these categories (electrical, mechanical carpentry, welding, controls, plumbing, machinist or HVAC) strong in all others. Must possess the knowledge to perform complex and minor maintenance and preventive maintenance task in every area of the service center. Must possess the ability to read, understand and complete plan modifications and schematics.
Operate hand and portable power tools at a proficient level
Operate and maintain the multi-shifter
Maintain, test and service industrial batteries
Perform extensive preventive maintenance procedures
Conduct thorough daily preventive maintenance preventive maintenance inspections
Check and record equipment meter readings on battery changes and pump house activities
Follow all corporate safety guidelines. Use required Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. safety glasses respirators and fall protection). Practice all safety procedures (i.e. lockout/tagout proper lifting)
Troubleshoot and repair basic Electro-mechanical problems (i.e. belt tracking, sensors, chain alignment and tension, replace/repair gear boxes/motors, electrical overloads, blown fuses, etc.)
Accurately complete departmental paperwork
Operate Computer Maintenance Management System (MP-2)
Install and repair electrical appliances such as transformers, batteries, wiring and electrical components.
Lay-out, assemble, install and maintain pile systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as well as facility and structure plumbing systems.
Repair and/or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
Repair/remodel and maintain physical structure of the building.
Install, program and repair automated machinery, equipment and conveyors.
Ability to set-up and operate machine tools such as lathe, welder, grinder, drill and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools.
Design set-up and repair shelving/racking and other types of material handling storage structures.
Ability to pay close attention to detail.
Ability to work without close supervision.
Must be self-motivated.
Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, lift trucks, Genie Boom and other machines.
Must be punctual and able to meet attendance requirements as per attendance policy.
Work overtime and various shift as business demands and as required.
Maintain clean tools and work area. Must be willing to excel in the area of housekeeping.
Perform all other duties as assigned by management or their representatives as required.
Mentor Level I, II and III Maintenance Technicians.
Must be able to function as a project coordinator on complex projects.
Must be able to provide rough cost estimates for projects.

The Maintenance Technician IV must posses strong written and oral communication skills. This includes the use of nonverbal communication including eye contact, body language, posture and all aspects of written communication. A Tech Level IV will posses the communication skills to interface with other associates, supervisors, operations managers and staff as well as outside vendors and agencies and will display leadership skills. Must be able to plan presentations of a technical nature, and be prepared to train in a variety of subjects.

Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in five of the eight areas listed in the job knowledge requirements or a vocational diploma in related areas(s).
Must be licensed or certified by an accredited institution, in at least one of the seven areas
Must be able to supervise multiple work teams
Experience in conveyor system, HVAC, plumbing, general building maintenance, and knowledge of safety regulations
Must be proficient in P.L.C's, PC Controls, welding procedures, electrical repairs and installation.
Must have an in depth knowledge of state, local building and electrical codes, along with the understanding of OSHA safety guidelines.
Must possess a complete set of mechanic's tools per list supplied by Venator Technical Services Department.
The Maintenance Technician IV must have physical strength and be able to perform the physical tasks of the position. This position works in a warehouse environment.
