Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Tech to join our manufacturing team in Greencastle, PA . This is a full time employment opportunity offering competitive pay, benefits and PTO during the first year of employment.

Job Summary

Inspects, troubleshoots, maintains, replaces or repairs mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and mobile equipment and tooling throughout the plant.

Tools and equipment: electric welder, gas welding and burning equipment, various power tools, meters, gauges, automotive and electrical test equipment and miscellaneous machine and hand tools.

Materials: Grease, oil, welding rods, wire, pipe, replacement parts and various maintenance supplies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) process and compliance to TPM goals and objectives.

  • Accountable for troubleshooting and/or repair for all plant equipment and tooling.

  • Directs other plant personnel in daily operations in reference to TPM and equipment repair compliance.

  • Inspects mechanical, troubleshoots, electrical and mobile equipment to determine required maintenance.

  • Educates and trains employees on basic maintenance of equipment through TPM program; grease, oil, clean and adjust mechanical and mobile equipment

  • Audits TPM compliance to ensure employees are following daily, weekly, monthly tasks

  • Adjusts repairs or replaces parts, assemblies and machine equipment.

  • Moves and installs various pieces of equipment as required.

  • Reads and interprets blueprints for repair and installation of equipment.

  • Performs welding, burning, brazing and soldering as required to maintain plant equipment.

  • Maintains all plant hand tools, power tools, cranes, hoists, trucks, welders and torches.

  • Keeps preventive/corrective maintenance records on all equipment in the GREEN BOOK.

  • Requisitions replacement parts for defective equipment.

  • Liaison with Mfg. Engineering to ensure equipment is sustained to OEM standard.

  • Adheres, understands lockout/tagout procedures on all equipment.

  • Accountable for Repair & Maintenance budgets

  • Provide technical training as required to plant personal.

  • Performs other duties as directed by Plant Management or Mfg. Engineering.

  • Other duties assigned.

Industrial Power Generating Company ("INGENCO"), owns, designs, develops, constructs, and operates landfill gas-to-electricity and distributed generation facilities. INGENCO currently owns and operates 160 MW of capacity across 18 facilities located in the U.S. mid-Atlantic region. INGENCO sells energy, capacity, and renewable energy credits via several long-term off-take retail contracts as well as through the wholesale markets. Under direct supervision of a skilled operator, this incumbent is responsible to assist in the operation and maintenance of the electric power generators and associated equipment at the assigned power production facility. Primary Job Tasks & Responsibilities * Is able to lead lower level classifications in absence of Plant Supervisor * Assists Plant Supervisor in scheduling shifts and work * Observes operation of plant equipment and processes for normal operation including troubleshooting potential situations to include correcting equipment failures, identifying abnormal operating conditions, and reporting to leadership * Is able to modify operation of plant equipment and processes to prevent failure of operations. * Leads and performs preventive and minor corrective maintenance on production engines, gas blowers and associated equipment * Cleans, overhauls and replaces engines, generators, motors, pumps and associated equipment * Assists plant operations in repairing, replacing and maintaining plumbing lines * Responsible for light maintenance such as control harness wiring and changing light bulbs * Reviews and records operating data in computer based record keeping system (e.g. hours of operation, generator production, and fuel) * Receives and transfer fuel supplies and while adhering to all safety and environmental spill plan guidelines * Collects fuel samples and performs quality analysis Secondary Job Tasks & Responsibilities * Will perform duties related to interior and exterior general housekeeping and appearance (e.g. cleaning, trash, painting, mowing, etc.) * Performs other work as assigned Qualifications Education and Experience: * Minimum high school diploma or GED * Strong mechanical aptitude required * Minimum 3 years previous automotive engine repair and service experience required * Previous experience in diesel engine repair a plus * Prefer candidates with considerable knowledge in operation, repair, and maintenance of power generating and/or industrial equipment/facilities. * Experience in analyzing operations data * Must be able to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently (includes small tools, drills, hydraulic presses, and band saws) * Intermediate computer skills required * Valid driver's license Key Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. * Planning & organizing - The individual prioritizes, plans, and organizes work activities, uses time efficiently, and has the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. * Problem solving - The individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully. * Customer service - The incumbent will work primarily with other Mechanics and other Operators, however, will periodically interact with other team members or vendors during the course of performing duties. * Quality control - The individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance.
