SUMMARY

Provides mechanical, hydraulics, and instrumentation engineering support for the Tunica and Hernando Mills. Primary areas include developing and maintaining; reliability programs, Root Cause Problem Elimination (RCPE), preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshooting project sponsorship.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Follows work instructions and departmental procedures to perform essential functions of job.

  • Improves Equipment and Process Reliability:

  • Provides reliability expertise and actively promote a culture of reliability.

  • Performs RCPE, including follow-up action and recommendations.

  • Develop new or improved existing preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.

  • Defines leads and coordinates maintenance work and projects.

  • Stays up to date on reliability and maintenance best practices.

  • Drive equipment improvements based on reliability data.

  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment condition monitoring.

  • Supports Operations and Maintenance:

  • High level process/equipment troubleshooting.

  • Lead and/or sponsor improvement projects.

  • Maintain an effective working relationship with personal at all levels of the organization.

  • Provide professional communication through presentations, reports and status updates.

  • Generate ideas for improvements of processes and equipment.

  • Analyze spare parts requirements and identify obsolete or excess spare parts.

  • Promotes a safe working environment and safe work practices:

  • Completes all safety training and attends safety meetings and briefings.

  • Identifies and corrects or reports safety hazards in a timely manner.

  • Adheres to all plant safety rules.

  • Practices good housekeeping in the shop and at the job site.

  • Maintains and uses all required PPE under all circumstances.

  • Administrative responsibilities

  • Completes required paperwork thoroughly and accurately.

  • Notes any uncorrected discrepancies on all work orders.

  • Team member responsibilities:

  • Performs PM's and all aspects of his job up to PCC standards and values.

  • Informs the Lead or Superintendent of any concerns affecting his ability to perform at a high level.

  • Meets or exceeds expectations for safety, quality and thoroughness of work performed.

  • Provides technical assistance to other members of his crew as needed.

  • Takes full advantage of every training opportunity to enhance and improve his capabilities and performance.

  • Communicates daily with the shift Lead Technician concerning work priorities and assignments and assistance needed.

  • Develops a strong relationship with operators to improve communication concerning machine performance.

  • Seeks out feedback from supervision in his efforts toward continuous self-improvement.

  • Provides accurate and thorough information to the Lead Technician concerning current job status such as parts requirements any, estimated completion times and any hindrances

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Must understand and follow requirements of SXP QMS and EHS system.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Certifications in maintenance related coursework required; AA degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred.

  • 5-8 years previous maintenance experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environment required

  • Ability to work flexible hours as required, including weekends and holidays

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

VIEW JOBS 11/3/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-01T00:00 SUMMARY The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing direction and supervision of personnel to meet the maintenance goals and objectives and support requirements of the mill in a timely, efficient and safe manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Promotes a safe working environment and safe work practices: * Schedules and leads regular and shutdown safety meetings for the crews. * Identifies, seeks input and takes corrective action to eliminate safety hazards in the workplace. * Supports Plant safety program and adherence to Plant safety rules. * Strives to improve the safety performance of the maintenance craft persons through coaching and training. * Sets expectations for housekeeping in the shop and on the job site, and follows up. * Conducts and documents housekeeping and PPE audits. * Investigates and prepares reports for incidents, near miss and substandard conditions. * Administrative responsibilities: * Completes required paperwork accurately, to include Daily and Weekly Schedules, completed work orders, standard operating procedures, technical documentation and MAPCON database. * Reviews work orders for action items, and creates follow-up work requests for corrective work as appropriate. * Direct the work force: * Supervises maintenance personnel to set expectations for safety, quality, duration, cost and thoroughness of the work. * Provides feedback to maintenance people based on performance and living up to PCC values. * Provides technical assistance to the maintenance people. * Evaluates the maintenance people's job performance, and develops and implements appropriate measures for improvement. * Ensures the effective use of maintenance resources: * Schedules daily activities for the area crews. * Issues printed work order packets to the crews for scheduled work. * Ensures the maintenance schedule and work orders are posted. * Matches maintenance peoples with skills required to do the work. * Schedules crews to develop job skills. * Develops, coordinates, and executes plans for break-in work. * Challenges break-in work that disrupts the daily schedule. * Assigns maintenance people to handle the break-in work and complete repairs in the safest, most effective and efficient manner. * Follows up on job overruns and interruptions. * Holds employees accountable for productivity and efficiency. * Assigns maintenance people to other maintenance areas when needed. * Visits each job site as time permits to ensure work is progressing as planned. * Manages overtime and makes overtime assignments. * Identifies opportunities to reduce maintenance costs. * Assist planners with returning unused materials and repair parts when jobs are completed. * Supports and promotes reliability: * Identifies equipment and facility reliability issues and implements actions to correct. * Involves reliability engineers when appropriate. * Promotes root cause failure analysis by maintenance persons. * Discusses the root cause of equipment failure with maintenance persons. * Assists with developing and maintaining Preventive and Predictive Maintenance procedures. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Must understand and follow requirements of SXP QMS and EHS system. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Associate's Degree or better preferred, significant job related experience acceptable in lieu of degree. * Related experience in maintenance management, CMMS management, 5+ years of Preventative/Predictive Maintenance experience is essential with at least 10 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
