Maintenance Tech - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Pay Range: $24.75 - $34.84 Shift Premium: $.20 2nd shift & $.30 3rd shift Pay rate is dependent on a skill set and/or qualifications Eligible for $1,000 sign-on bonus after 60 days

Your responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot & repair machine electrical/electronics.

  • Operate all machine electrical tools. Interpret electrical schematics and prints.

  • Complete knowledge of electronic principles as they apply to industrial machinery and controls which would enable diagnosing problems and repairing servo-motors, electronic controls, processors, and other similar equipment.

  • Must be knowledgeable of how to locate information to enable repair of new equipment.

  • Ensures the maintenance shop area is organized, neat and clean. Identifies and acts immediately regarding any safety hazards, spills, etc. to avoid the risk of accidents. Uses safe lifting techniques and operates power equipment in a safe manner. Abide by all stated regulations while performing work, i.e., lockout/tag out procedures, etc. Maintains records to ensure accountability of time, parts and repairs.

  • Performs preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to maintain equipment

  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, sprockets, sheaves, pulleys, rollers, conveyor belts, bearings, and transfer plates.

  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing pneumatic equipment such as diverters, air compressors, lubricators, hoses, and coils.

  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and/or replacing hydraulic equipment such as hoses, fittings, cylinders, and pumps.

  • Place safety in the workplace above all else

  • Work closely with machine operators

  • Work any overtime

  • Other duties as assigned

Your background

  • Education and Experience Needed:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required

  • Industrial Maintenance or similar type Associate's degree or in lieu of degree 2 years' related experience in maintenance and/or education

  • 3+ years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of industrial electrical application, pneumatics, hydraulics and control systems

  • PLC troubleshooting and controls experience/knowledge highly desired.

  • Knowledge of the fundamental of industrial electrical application, pneumatics, and control systems highly desired.

  • Specialized skills or other requirements:

  • Professional written and oral skills are essential

  • Ability to read prints and technical manuals.

  • Ability to trouble-shoot and repair heavy machinery.

  • Advanced understanding of Machine operations and diagnostics.

  • Ability to effectively diagnose machine malfunctions and concisely communicate detailed root cause(s) of malfunctions.

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and manage multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines.

  • Adaptable to change and ability to cross-train.

  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and work well under pressure.

  • Must be willing to attend classes for additional job-related training.

Pay Range: $16.05 - $22.71 (Progression based on time in job) Shift Premium per hour: $.20 for 2nd shift & $.30 3rd shift Your responsibilities * Job Description: * • The role functions as a member of an area team that is directly responsible for efficient productions of quality products in the required quantities. * • Must ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. * • Train and/or perform the tasks of the other associates in the area as needed. * • Perform various job on the Sub assembly line: build, line load, assemble parts and other components. * • Assemble a motor from components per an Assembly diagram and written instructions. Must be able to comprehend all work instructions. * • Use of flex flow and day and rank system * • Use of various hand tools, air tools, and torque wrenches, various gages, and indicators. * • Work defect free work and meet minimum production guide lines. * • Communicate with other operators and supervisor to discuss any problems. * • Identify and order appropriate supplies, parts, and tools as needed. * • Place safety in the workplace above all else and follow safety guidelines along with reporting safety issues. * • Daily housekeeping. * • Work overtime as needed. * • Other duties as assigned. * Your background * Education and Experience Needed: * • HS Diploma or equivalent required * • 6 months of Industrial type experience or military service or in lieu of industrial experience will consider vocational/ technical high school and technical college courses or 3 months previous motor manufacturing experience. * • Motor manufacturing experience preferred. * • Candidates must have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the United States. * Specialized skills or other requirements: * • Steady work history * • Reliable transportation to and from work * • Adaptable to change and ability to cross-train * • Detailed oriented * • Must be able to work any shift * • Requires the use of a hoist * • Must be able to operate a forklift and maintain a forklift license * • These jobs require strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives * • Requires basic computer skills * Physical Demands: * • Requires repetitive lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and twisting motions. Lifting to 25-30 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
