Job Summary

A Maintenance Clerk's first responsibility is to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment, and to ensure customer requirements are met and build customer loyalty by providing unparalleled customer service.

Job Description

  • Experience Required: 0 to 6 months

  • Experience Desired: Experience in understanding lighting, HVAC and refrigeration systems within the supermarket industry; Prior maintenance/cleaning experience

  • Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent

  • Lifting Requirement: Up to 100 pounds

  • Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively support a culture of safety which includes, but is not limited to, food safety, Team Member safety and customer safety.

  • Display a commitment to learn about food and share food knowledge with fellow Team Members and customers.

  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor (to ensure safety), and sanitation regulations are met.

  • Follow proper procedures to ensure store meets out-of-stock percentage goals.

  • Perform cleanups on spills.

  • Empty trash containers.

YOU You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. As a Maintenance Technician Lead, you will be responsible for safely maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on the plant equipment as well as building systems. You will also oversee the day to day activities of the Maintenance Technicians by scheduling work, coaching and mentoring team members and identifying training opportunities to improve the skill set of those within the department. This position is full time, Monday through Thursday 4:30pm - 3am with overtime as needed. (20%) Provide hands on training. (20%) Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems. (20%) Coach and mentor technicians. (20%) Work on special projects as necessary. (20%) DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too: * High School Diploma or equivalent or a combination of education and experience is required. * Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will certify at hire) required. * 2-4 years of related experience and training. * Prints work from blueprints, electrical and hydraulic diagrams. * Computer skills: Operate various computer programs for part stocking and ordering, time keeping, and support Tech Work Order processing. * Safety: Understand and support OSHA rules and requirements. * Math: Able to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. * Language: Able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. * Reasoning: Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Able to work with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Able to work with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. TRAVEL This job requires minimal domestic travel. WORK STATUS & LOCATION This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Columbus, OH. RELOCATION Relocation is not available for this position.
