The Maintenance Leader is responsible for the supervision of the maintenance team. The Maintenance Leader also administers the maintenance work order system and Preventative maintenance orders.
The Maintenance Leader monitors equipment maintenance records to establish improved methods for maintaining equipment reliability, thereby contributing to overall safety, productivity, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for minimizing production time losses associated with the breakdown or failure of production equipment.
Responsible for the day-to-day administration of a Preventative Maintenance Program designed to establish reliability of production equipment and infrastructure.
Responsible for day-to-day administration of a Work Order System designed to establish priority and control over maintenance requests from production personnel. Ensures that Work Order (Maintenance) requests are fulfilled in a timely fashion.
Establishes and maintains an equipment repair database for the purposes of historical analysis of equipment repairs and identifying preventative maintenance needs.
Communicates daily with the Production Manager and inter-departmental personnel to identify current and on-going facility and equipment maintenance issues.
Responsible for follow-up review of completed maintenance tasks to ensure that work is completed properly and in a safe and timely manner.
Responsible for development and review of Standard Operating Procedures to govern the functions performed by maintenance personnel.
Supervises the productivity and evaluates the job performance of all maintenance personnel on a two-shift operation.
Works overtime as needed to meet goals.
Responsible for stocking and replenishment of spare parts.
Ensures that adequate spare parts are available to minimize maintenance time losses.
Ensures that all established maintenance work areas are kept clean and safe.
Responsible for understanding and complying with the fundamental principles associated EPA and OSHA

Education and/or Experience:
B.S. Degree in Engineering or a minimum of five (5) years' experience in Industrial
Engineering and/or a Maintenance Leadership role.
Additional experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.
The ability to read and comprehend documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and simple correspondence.
Also, the ability to, communicate information (in small group situations) to other employees
The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, percentages, area, circumference, volume and densities.
The ability to apply the concepts of statistics and probability to practical situations.
The ability to apply common sense understanding to, perform work instructions that are furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Also, the ability to, solve problems, which involve multiple variables in a standard situation.
Other Skills & Abilities:
Must have knowledge of Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Mechanical concepts. Must understand how to read Blue Prints, and Schematics.

Specific vision abilities include close-up and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
