Maintenance Supervisor

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of maintenance projects at the assigned location(s) to assure that machinery, grounds and buildings are kept in workmanlike condition, meeting or exceeding regulatory compliance, e.g.USDA, GMP's OSHA, environmental, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor include but are not limited to the following:

• Participates in supervision and maintaining the preventative maintenance program that will assure machinery, grounds and buildings are kept in workmanlike condition, meeting or exceeding regulatory compliance, e.g. USDA, GMPs, OSHA, environmental et al.

• Supervises maintenance department personnel in day-to-day operation to ensure minimal downtime and costs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's Degree or Technical Certificate, plus 5 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to read technical drawings

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially those governing the food industry.

• Thorough understanding of the required support for maintaining utility functions

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BS in Engineering, Food Manufacturing, Operations or closely related area

• Food manufacturing/Feed Mill experience strongly preferred

• Previous experience working with feed mill manufacturing,and equipment
