Spokane Produce, Inc. is seeking a qualified Facility Maintenance Supervisor to add to our team!
JOB SUMMARY:
The Facility Maintenance Supervisor will manage and oversee all areas for routine building maintenance and repair, including but not limited to, conveying system, pumps and motors, minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical and packaging machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Establish, coordinate and enforce operational procedures for all the maintenance department operations
Supervise the maintenance department and the workflow to assure effective and efficient resolution of all building maintenance issues and repairs
Perform routine maintenance on warehouse, processing and kitchen equipment.
Implement necessary inspections or repairs as part of the preventative maintenance and equipment manufacturer recommendations
Establish and maintain effective relationships with Processing, Kitchen and Warehouse departments
Maintain safe and clean working environment by enforcing all procedures, rules and regulations
Keep accurate testing and maintenance records of all equipment including preventive maintenance records.
Submit request for parts and equipment to Operations Manager as needed to maintain facility operations
Perform diagnostic troubleshooting of systems to ensure minimum equipment downtime
Monitor production equipment daily
Responsible for limiting machine downtime
Organize and plan with Operations Manager for current and long-term goals along with having a contingency plan for unpredictable outcomes
Maintain maintenance employee's schedules; coordinate use of available vacation time
Walk facility grounds daily to identify maintenance issues in need of repair
Complete and review daily, weekly and monthly departmental reports, orders and logs.
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
3 to 5 years of building maintenance experience and equipment repair with at least two years in progressive management role
Fresh produce experience preferred. Must be proactive, assertive and articulate knowledge and understanding of facility maintenance processes and procedures
Guides individuals internally and externally to desired outcomes
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
Effective recordkeeping and math skill
Computer skills, including creating spreadsheets and data entry
Customer focused, providing service consistently exceeding expectations to both internal and external customers
Ability to prioritize needs and effectively manage resources appropriately.
Familiarity with carpentry, plumbing and electrical including the ability to read electrical wiring schematics and blueprints
Analytical problem-solving skills
Work independently with minimal supervision
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Requires some physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials, up to 100 pounds occasionally. Due to working outside, candidate will be tolerant of extreme weather conditions. Must have the ability to concentrate in a noisy environment.
