Maintenance Supervisor

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and support the Natural Ingredients business in Livingston, California. In this position, you will be responsible for Supervising technicians, prioritizing work request (calls on shift), manage technician work schedule, validate Preventative Maintenance effectiveness and technicians' skill development. A successful candidate requires a good understanding of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), managing contractors and technicians, managing equipment rebuilds, and ability to communicate with cross functional teams.

What you'll do:

• Participate in root cause analysis investigations on repeat equipment/process failures for continued improvement

• Obtain parts information needed for breakdown repairs and identify suitable replacement option for obsolete parts

• Support spot buy (non-inventory items) purchasing required for completion of maintenance breakdown activities. Uses Management of Change (MOC) process, when part is not like for like or exact match in food production areas

• Works closely with Project Managers to determine availability of maintenance crafts to assist in delivery of new assets and capital projects

• Effectively communicates with all area equipment owners, supervisors, craftsmen, and internal customers to ensure all preventive, predictive and emergency corrective maintenance is executed to maximize craft time utilization and minimize downtime to operations

What you'll bring:

• Skilled, highly motivated self-starter who is able to think independently, yet work as a team player

• Ability to perform all position responsibilities following established GMP, Food Safety, Personal Safety and Quality policies and procedures

• At least five years of experience as a supervisor in a maintenance environment. Experience working in a GMP/regulated environment. Technical degree is a plus

• Carry strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Great attitude and customer service skills. Ability to collaborate with operations team and prioritize work for the team

Sensient Natural Ingredients is one of the largest producers and distributors in the world of dehydrated onion and garlic products as well as chili powder, paprika, chili pepper and dehydrated vegetables such as parsley, celery, and spinach. These ingredients are used in many of today's popular convenience foods. The Natural Ingredients unit is located in Livingston, California.

The salary range for this position is $86,250 - $143,750 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions. In addition to salary, Sensient is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program to support the holistic well-being of our employees and their families. This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive pay.
